NoteShot Terms of Use

Effective Date: February 26, 2026

These Terms of Use (“Terms”) govern your use of the NoteShot application (“the App”) developed by Nikolay Mohr (“we”, “us”). By using the App, you agree to these Terms.

1. Description of Service

NoteShot is an iOS application that captures, classifies, and organizes screenshots using on-device OCR, heuristic classification, and optional AI-powered enhancement. The App includes a share extension for importing content from other apps.

2. Account and Authentication

Certain features require you to sign in using Sign in with Apple. You are responsible for maintaining the security of your Apple ID. We do not store passwords.

3. Subscriptions and Payment

3.1 Subscription Plans

NoteShot offers optional auto-renewable subscription plans (“NoteShot Pro”) that provide access to cloud AI features and enhanced functionality.

3.2 Billing

• Payment is charged to your Apple ID account at confirmation of purchase.
• Subscription prices are displayed in the App before purchase, in your local currency.

3.3 Auto-Renewal

• Subscriptions automatically renew unless you turn off auto-renewal at least 24 hours before the end of the current billing period.
• Your account will be charged for renewal within 24 hours prior to the end of the current period at the same price.

3.4 Free Trials

• If offered, free trial periods convert to paid subscriptions at the end of the trial period unless canceled at least 24 hours before the trial ends.
• Any unused portion of a free trial is forfeited when you purchase a subscription.

3.5 Managing and Canceling Subscriptions

You can manage or cancel your subscription at any time through your Apple ID account settings (Settings > Apple ID > Subscriptions) or at https://apps.apple.com/account/subscriptions. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period.

3.6 Refunds

Refund requests are handled by Apple in accordance with their refund policy. Contact Apple Support for refund inquiries.

4. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

• Use the App for any unlawful purpose
• Attempt to reverse-engineer, decompile, or disassemble the App
• Circumvent any access restrictions or usage limits
• Use the App to process content that violates applicable laws
• Abuse the cloud AI service by sending excessive, automated, or fraudulent requests

5. Cloud AI Features

When you enable cloud AI features:

• OCR-extracted text (not images) is sent to our backend for AI-powered analysis
• Usage is subject to quotas associated with your subscription plan
• We reserve the right to adjust quotas, rate limits, and AI model availability
• AI-generated results (titles, summaries, classifications) are provided as-is and may not always be accurate

6. Intellectual Property

• The App and its original content, features, and functionality are owned by Nikolay Mohr and are protected by applicable intellectual property laws
• Content you import into the App (screenshots, text, images) remains yours
• We do not claim ownership of your content

7. Disclaimer of Warranties

The App is provided “as is” and “as available” without warranties of any kind, either express or implied. We do not warrant that:

• The App will be uninterrupted or error-free
• AI-generated classifications, summaries, or suggestions will be accurate
• The App will meet your specific requirements

8. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, we shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of the App.

9. Termination

We may suspend or terminate your access to the App or its services at any time for violation of these Terms. Upon termination, your right to use the App ceases immediately. Data stored locally on your device remains accessible to you.

10. Changes to Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. Material changes will be communicated through an App update or a notice within the App. Continued use of the App after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.

11. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of Germany, without regard to conflict of law provisions.
